Stonehaven welcomes visiting dressage instructor, Krista Rockenbach from Lethbridge, AB, Canada. Krista began riding western and competed in her first AQHA circuit show at the age of 8. She soon transitioned to dressage and by the age of 16 had become the 2004 Alberta Young Riders Champion and German Bronz Medalist in a one-month course in Vechta, Germany. That same year she obtained her Canadian Provincial Instructor license. She has ridden with many of the world’s top trainers including Alex Wortmann, Hannas Mueller, Henk Glijn, Lee Tubmann, Sharron Merkyl-Bettie, Dagmar Fortmueller and Michael Rhormann. She has earned numerous regional and national Championship titles in Junior and Open Divisions. She is a certified Equine Level One Coach and Judge for Pony Club and Dressage shows. Her most recent accomplishments include a 3-month stint working and training with Olympic contender Matty Marissink Stables in Dewijk Netherlands.

We all benefitted from and appreciated Krista’s expertise and constructive coaching techniques.

Keea Healy
and Alatheia Alexandria continued their winning ways at the Morgan Grand National and World Championship horse show, where this team placed third in the world
Keea Ame Marie Healey
in Working Hunter, fences to 3’3”. This was a very tight race, where just one canter lead meant the difference between World Champion and third place. A remarkable showing for Keea and for Alex in her first year out on the show circuit. We are looking for more excitement from this winning team in 2010!
